Aims and Objectives

PiP encourages and supports the development of collaborative approaches to the delivery, commissioning and improvement of services for children and young people, with the overall aim of improving outcomes of care.

PiP’s objectives are to:

  • Develop high quality clinical guidelines and pathways of care
  • Facilitate the development of clinical networks and support associated work streams, where appropriate
  • Work with and inform commissioners on the improvement of services - with the overall aim of improving outcomes of care
  • Provide educational fora and undertake training events and professional development
  • Promote and share good practice at regional and national levels
  • Engage and consult with children, young people, their carers and families – so that they can influence service developments and ensure that the patients and family / carer experience is improved
