The Paediatric Epilepsy Nurses Network (PENN) Study Day 2026 brought together healthcare professionals from across the region for a full day of learning, collaboration, and shared expertise in paediatric epilepsy care. Held on Friday 26th June 2026 at The Studio, Birmingham, the event provided a valuable platform for professional development and networking within the field.

A Day of Learning and Collaboration

This dedicated study day was designed specifically for healthcare professionals working within paediatric epilepsy services. The programme focused on delivering evidence-based updates, practical insights, and opportunities for open discussion on the complexities of epilepsy care.

  • Updates on specialist services, including the Children’s Epilepsy Surgery Service (CESS) and Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS)

Hearing the Patient Voice

A particularly impactful session featured the Youth Voice Network, offering first-hand insight into living with epilepsy. This session emphasised the importance of patient-centred care and the value of incorporating lived experiences into service design and delivery.
